FINEAMIN HELAWAX W implements sulphide precipitation with its enormous advantages and without the known disadvantages of conventional sulphide precipitation methods.
The polysulphide system of the agent is safe against the release of hydrogen sulphide.
Most heavy metals are present in wastewater with 1 to 3 times positive valence, i.e. cationic, and can therefore be precipitated.
However, there are metals such as chromate and vanadate, which are polyvalent and anionic and are not accessible for precipitation.
They are reduced with HELAWAX W in an acidic medium and then precipitated.
HELAWAX W also eliminates a number of common anionic pollutants such as cyanide, nitrite, sulphite and free chlorine and then precipitates them. The same applies analogously to fluoride, silicofluoride, oxalate, citrate, tartrate, phenolates, fatty acids and other ionogenic surfactants, etc.
Weak acids and other anionogenic substances, including complexing agents, are protonated, destabilizing their bond to the medium water.
Emulsions are broken down, oils and fats are released.
The released lipophilic substances readily attach themselves to the likewise hydrophobic, sulphidic precipitate and thus pass from the water into the sludge.
The treatment process depends on the type of wastewater and is developed and optimized accordingly.
